Hi, I'm Emily. This is my dog, Clifford. Here's a story about his first day at my school. All the kids want to play with him. Miss Pearson likes him too. But she says it's time to begin our day.

笔记整理：
1.story是”故事“的意思，“讲故事”我们可以用tell a story。
2.want to play with him“想和它一起玩”。want to do sth是“想要做某事”的意思，例句：Tomorrow is Saturday, what do you want to do?“明天就是周六啦，你想干嘛呢？”。play with sb是“和某人一起玩”。例句：Poor Tony has no one to play with.“没人和可怜的托尼一起玩呢。”
3.刚才我们已经学会了“想要做某事”want to do sth,那么“喜欢做某事”该怎么表达呢？对啦，就是like doing sth.比如：I like reading interesting English stories."我喜欢看有趣儿的英文故事。"
4.It's time to begin our day.“我们该开始今天的任务啦（上课）”这里面包含的表达为It's time (for sb) to do sth“该是某人做某事的时候啦”，每天早上，妈妈会掀开我们的被子，温柔地说Come on, baby, it's time (for you) to get up.“快点，宝贝儿，你该起床啦。”
5.The bottle tips over."瓶子打翻了。"tip over就是“打翻，弄翻”的意思。
6.fall down是“跌倒，摔倒”的意思。例句：My grandma fell down in the street and broke her leg.“奶奶在街上摔倒了，摔坏了腿。”哎，真是个坏消息呢。
7.quiet是“安静的”，上课的时候，老师会对我们说Be quiet.或者Keep quiet.就是让我们“保持安静”呢。
8.She tells me to bring him back.“她告诉我把它带回去。”其中有一个短语是tell sb to do sth“告诉某人做某事”，例句：Parents tell us to study hard.“父母告诉我们要好好学习。”
9.Clifford is curious about the bag of flour.“Clifford对这包面粉很感兴趣。”从句中我们可以知道，“对...感兴趣”是be curious about，例句：Tommy is curious about all new things.“Tommy对一切新事物都很感兴趣。”
