Iranian TV showed a new video of the fifteen British sailors and marines seized last week for allegedly crossing into Iranian waters. The video shows Faye Turney, the only woman in the group, saying it is obvious the British were trespassing. Britain called showing a video unacceptable and that is appears that the statement was coerced.
Smoke billowed from the top of the Chicago high-rise this afternoon, but officials say the fire didn't do much damage. It was contained to some of the equipments on the roof of the 45-story building. The building was not evacuated but many of occupants left on their own.
More than one hundred Haitian immigrants reached the Florida shore today after three weeks at sea. At least one man died in the crossing, and three people were in critical condition suffering from dehydration, at least eight others had to be taken to the hospital.
Debbie Parkhurst is alive today and she says she has her dog to thank. Last week she began choking on an apple, she says her dog Toby pulled her to the ground and began jumping on her chest. She soon spit out the apple.
