"Shanghai World Financial Center" is named “Shanghai Xiu Shi”
"Shanghai World Financial Center", the 101-storey skyscraper complex in Shanghai, China, led by Mori Building Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Tokyo, Japan; President and CEO Minoru Mori) has got its Chinese name “Shanghai Xiu Shi”. It will be completed by early Year 2008.
The project, consisting of office space, hotel, shopping mall, observatory and conference facilities, is set to contribute to the further development of Shanghai Pudong District, which the Chinese government is currently promoting as a national project. The project has been carefully designed to operate not only as one of the world's international financial centers but also as a sightseeing destination enabling more and more visitors to capture Shanghai's excitement and charm.

国际在线消息：昨日《第一财经日报》获悉，以上海第一高楼“环球金融中心”为核心建筑的综合开发项目，正式被开发商命名为“Shanghai Hills”(中文译名：“上海秀仕”)。
同时，开发商森大厦株式会社(下称“森大厦”)就上海秀仕周边区域的整体开发，提出了在小陆家嘴板块建立“二层步行连廊系统”的计划，以期连接小陆家嘴的主要写字楼。针对该构想，森大厦已向浦东新区人民政府、上海陆家嘴(集团)有限公司递交方案。
森大厦称，上海秀仕是从大量候选名称中甄选出来的。它不但延续了森大厦“Hills”城市开发理念，在发音上也考虑到了全球通用性。
目前，上海秀仕的核心建筑“上海秀仕环球金融中心”工程进展顺利，高度已超过300米(第70层)。该项目有望于明年9月份封顶，并于2008年春季之前竣工。
“‘连廊系统’一定要实施，但是目前还没有确定首先连接哪几幢写字楼。从何处着手也还在商讨之中。”陆家嘴集团相关人士对记者说。但是依然有其他开发商认为，写字楼的连接，有可能造成玻璃幕墙的损害，如何进行调整，还有待于下一步的统筹计划。
为了统一管辖公司中国事业，森大厦新近成立了“中国事业本部”。同时，森大厦以独资方式，投资3.15亿元人民币在上海新设立观光会议设施运营公司；又以3.85亿元的投资额设立酒店经营有限公司。而截至今年3月份，环球金融中心的投资为1050亿日元(约合人民币70.35亿元)。郝倩
