Lawyers and New York City officials say they are confident they can get Ground Zero responders to agree on settlement. Responders say all the dust and debris after the attacks sickened them and they want millions in compensation.

Dozens have been killed in Pakistan by a series of explosions and suicide attacks. Officials say at least 43 people were killed and more than 100 injured in the blasts.

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs has made good on a bet with his Canadian counterpart. He donned a Canadian hockey jersey today and sent over a beer to Canada’s Prime Minister. All is part of a bet he made over the gold medal hockey game (inaudible).
