Senate Democratic Majority Leader Harry Reid says he wants to move on after he apologized for comments he made in 2008. He says he's not going to dwell on the criticism he's gotten after calling Barack Obama a "light-skinned" African-American "with no Negro dialect. " The White House said Obama " didn't take offense. "
Record low temperatures continue to linger in Florida. That cold is putting fruit and vegetable crops at risk, and it's adding an extra strain on the state's power grid. The National Weather Service reported 36 degrees in Miami beating an 82-year-old record of 37.
And Simon Cowell says this will be his last season on American Idol. The often outspoken judge says he will be joining a show he created, called " The X Factor". It's a hit in Britain then will jion Fox's schedule next year.
