Good morning. I’m Melissa Long here at the CNN centre in Atlanta. It’s Friday, October the 16th. And here‘s the stories that are making news right now.

Speculation is growing about whether Tuesday's runaway balloon story in Colorado was a hoax. Initially, Falcon Heene’s family said they feared the six-year- old that climbed inside this homemade balloon which then took off and flew some fifty miles. Police launched a huge search and rescue operation only to find the six years old was actually hiding in the attic at his home. Authority says their ordeal was not fake . But last night on CNN’s Larry King Night, Falcon said he didn't come out because it was for the show. Some wonders if it was reference to a reality television program the family has appeared on or the media coverage of the runaway balloon.

Three missing hikers were found Wednesday stranded in a ledge of a waterfall at California's King's Canyon National Park. Rescue helicopter spotted them. They have been missing since Monday and had an emotional reunion with family yesterday.

Pakistan was hit with another round of deadly and brazen violence. Today is target police officer in Peshawar. Thirteen people were killed in a car bomb exploded outside the gates of a police station. In the past couple of weeks, terrorist attacks have killed more than one hundred and fifty people across Pakistan.

Indonesia has been launched again by an earthquake. That trembler hit around seven thirty eastern times, shaking the building in the capital of Jakarta. No signs of visible damage. The US geological service says the quake had a magnitude of six point three. The epicenter was out at sea about a hundred fifteen miles from Jakarta. So far new tsunami warning has been issued. It is the latest and serious quake that rattled Indonesia recently. More than one thousand people are believed to die after twin earthquakes destroy buildings at the dawn just over two weeks ago.

The boss of Bank of America, he is not gonna be paid this year. Chief executive Ken Lewis won't get a bonus and must pay back a million dollars. He has already earned for 2009. This move was suggested by the US Treasury’s pay czar, Kenneth Feinberg. Lewis is still gonna be more than capable of making ends meet. He has a fifteen three million dollars pension waiting for him when he retires at the end of the year.

You are up today. Those are the headlines. Just stay with us here at CNN and for more on these stories and other news that develops today.
