我国从20世纪90年代开始引入公务员考试，在进入21世纪之后，该项考试趋于成熟和稳定。每年都会在10月份国庆过后发布招考公告，一般来说公共科目笔试时间都在11月底（11月的最后一个周日），如果遇到其他较为重要的会议或者活动，可能会推后到12月初举行。
