Step 1: You will need 你将需要
a deck of cards a willing participant and a little bit of pazzazz.
Step 2: The trick 变戏法
Give your participant ten cards from the top of the desk and ask them to fan them out. Now ask then to look at their cards and choose one, but also to remember how many cards in their chosen card is from the top of the deck. This is called the position number. Tell them to close the deck and hand you the cards. Make one complete cut, and return the cards to your participant. Tell her to put one card at a time on the bottom of the deck until she reaches her position number. This is called the old up and under... oop. Now ask her to perform an eliminatation shuffle. This is when they put one card on the bottom and then one card on the table and continue in this fashion until there is only one card left in their hand. Magically when they turn it over, they will see that it is their card.
Step 3: How it's done 这是怎么做到呢?
This trick is mostly self-working and therefore easy to master, which is handy if you're lazy. The only thing the magician need do is make sure that when he makes his cut, he removes 5 cards from the top of the deck and moves them to the bottom making sure they are in the same order. Other than that, all you need do is supervise all the participant's movements through the rest of the trick. Make sure that when they count to their position number, they reorder the cards by putting them to the bottom one at a time. When it comes to the elimination shuffle make sure they put the first card to the bottom, and the second one onto the table. If you follow these rules the trick will work, every time.
