Construction workers from both ends of China's first high-speed railway bridge over the Yangtze River have met in the middle as the project nears completion.
Work began on the Dashengguan Bridge at Nanjing three years ago. It is the country's first railway bridge to have six parallel tracks.
Once the bridge is complete, trains will run on six railway lines crossing the Yangtze River. The bridge allows a maximum speed of 300 kilometers per hour. The rest of the project is expected to be finished early next year.
