6. Often it's the delivery which causes the audience to smile,so speak slowly and remember that a raised eyebrow or an unbelieving look may help to show that you are making a light hearted remark.
【译文】 通常是你说话的方式使听众发笑，因此说慢一些，记住扬扬眉毛或者摆出一副难以置信的表情，这些都会向人们显示你正在说笑话。
【析句】 整句可以看成是由so连接的并列句，前后有一定的因果关系。前面的子句是一个强调结构，而后面又是一个祈使句，其谓语动词是speak和remember。而remember后面又是一个很长的宾语从句。要理解前后的因果关系。
【讲词】 delivery有“传递，交付”的意思，但在这里则表示“演讲”（to deliver a speech）。注意cause在句中作动词，意为“使，造成”（make）。例如：What caused the problem?（是什么导致了问题的发生？）Necessity caused me to come.（我不得不来。）

【讲词】 ingenuity意为“机灵，才智，独创性”，例如：The boy showed ingenuity in making the toys.（男孩在制作那些玩具时表现出其聪明才智。）
to cope with等于to handle with或to deal with，都是“处理，对付，应付”之意。She must be under great pressures when she tried to cope with the situation.（就会那样的局面，她肯定面临了很大的压力。）
8. As a result,the modern world is increasingly populated by intelligent gizmos whose presence we barely notice but whose universal existence has removed much human labor.
【译文】 由此引起的结果是，现代世界已经日益充斥着智能的装置，虽然我们几乎注意不到他们，但是它们的普遍存在却节省了许多人类劳力。
【析句】 本句的主句是the modern world is increasingly populated by intelligent gizmos，后面是两个定语从句，中间用but来引导。as a result作全句的状语。
