Called China’s most beautiful bookshop, Nanjing’s Librairie Avant-Garde was built inside a former government car park that had also been a bomb shelter. To find their way into the 4,000 sq m underground space beneath Wutishan Stadium, visitors follow a yellow-striped road; inside, a replica of Rodin’s The Thinker sits alongside a cash till made out of old books, and pillars with famous literary verses carved into them.
这座坐落于南京五台山体育场地下的4000平方米书店被称为中国最美的书店，改建自早年间的一个地下车库，当时也是一处防空洞。读者可以顺着地上的黄线前行，书店门口是一尊罗丹的思考者雕塑复制品。书店的收银台由旧书堆砌而成，两旁的柱子上还刻有不同的文学名言。
