今天给大家带来的高大上的表达是：
...be immune to...
咱们结合上一期的短语（be susceptible to）来看，正好构成一对反义词。因为be immune to的意思是“对...免疫”，也就是不会受到...的影响的意思，是不是和be susceptible to（会受到...影响）正好相反呢？
这是一个非常好用的句型，immune原意形容生理学上的“免疫”，比如人的免疫系统，immune system，免疫力immunity。后来be immune to引申为“不受...影响”，“对...有抵抗力”。原创例句如下：
1）Apple computer is immune to usual viruses, which is one of the reasons for its popularity. 苹果电脑对一般病毒免疫，这也是它受欢迎的原因之一。
2）This issue will not be immune to controversy. 这个事件不会免于争议。（就是这个事件一定会引起争议的意思）
3）True maturity embodies in the ability to be immune to what people think or say about you. 真正的成熟体现在不管他人怎么看和怎么想。
4）The inability to be immune to bribery puts a lot of high officials into jail. 无法免疫贿赂致使大量高官锒铛入狱。
