如果你已经通过了考研的初试,那么复试正在向大家招手。考研英语的口语复试大家可能会觉得比较紧张,但同时英语口语的考察也是必不可少的一项,最常见的考查方式就是英语自我介绍和英语口语对话,所涉及的内容主要就是个人介绍、考研原因、研究生期间计划、本科院校、家庭和家乡等。如何复习,一起来了解一下吧!

如何准备英语口语?

对口语的考查,各个学校各不相同。有的学校制定了非常详细的标准和流程,甚至规定了每个老师发问的方式和时间;有的只是面试老师的自由发挥,成绩也基本上由面试老师主观判定。不管面试是否严格控制,考生对下面几个问题一定要认真准备:一是自我介绍,如自己来自什么地方、毕业学校、所学专业、业余喜好、家庭基本情况等信息;二是做好用英语讲解自己专业的准备。口语测试时老师很可能考查你用英语阐述专业问题的能力。因此考生对此要有所准备,先用笔头组织这些问题的要点,然后再用这些关键词组织语言。在阅读专业文献时,也要多积累一些专业方面的英语词汇。

如何评价复试中的口试?

1、语言准确性(语法和用词的准确性、语法结构的复杂性、词汇的丰富程度、发音的准确性)

2、话语的长短和连贯性(内容的连贯性、寻找合适词语而造成的停顿频率及长短、表达思想的语言长短等)

3、语言的灵活性和适合性(语言表达是否灵活、自然,话语是否得体,语言能否与语境、动能和目的适应)

口试评价成绩一般为:

a优秀:能用外语就指定的话题进行口头交流,基本没有困难

b良好:能用外语就指定的题材进行口头交流,虽有些困难,但不影响交流

c及格:能用外语就指定的话题进行简单的口头交流

d不及格:不具有口头表达能力

口试内容与结构分为两部分,有两名教师参加口试工作,一名教师主持口试,随时与考生交谈并评分;另一名教师专事评分,不参与交谈。两名口试教师所给的分数各占口试成绩的50%。

如何提升自己的口语表达能力?

对于口语能力的提升,一定是一个长期坚持的结果。在平时的训练过程,可以多观看一些英文期刊、外文栏目,提升语感的同时记录下优美表达,并及时进行记忆背诵;同时,可适当选取一些语速适中的音频,进行跟读,和身边的朋友进行英语交流也是不错的方法。

英语口语常问话题(一)

第一个经常问的话题是考研原因。通常我们可以从以下三个方面来回答。

(1)兴趣,即强调对所报考的专业怀有极大的兴趣(have significant interest in…)。如果本科就读的专业与报考的专业一致,则可以说明想继续深造(further education)的愿望。如果不一致,则要说明报考专业对你的吸引力(…appeals to/attracts me a lot);

(2)优势,即强调研究生相对于本科生在知识、学术方面的优势,如:知识面更广(wider knowledge),学术更专业(more professional),眼界更广阔等(broaden one’s horizon);

(3)益处,即强调考研对你的未来的积极影响(have a positive effect on…),可以从求职、职业规划、人生经历等方面入手进行说明。可参考的词汇、短语如下:be helpful, contribute to, be beneficial to, be conductive to, be a definite advantage, become a strong point when it comes to…等等;

(4)升华,在研究生学习能够弥补在本科时期学业和实践上的不足,这也会利于深造学习,提升自身能力。

此外,对于那些在职考生或有工作经验的考生来说,考官更倾向于提问他们为什么(放弃工作而)重新学习。考生可以直言在工作发现某些知识或技能很重要,希望能通过学习在这些方面进行提高(In my work, I found … is rather important. I always believe that one will easily lag behind unless he keeps on learning. So I choose to go back to school and improve myself.)。

英语口语常问话题(二)

考官有时会询问考生对未来的一些规划,其目的在于试探考生是否对时间、学习、人生有一定计划性和掌控能力。

(1)学习规划。关于这一话题,考官通常会以一种较婉转的方式提问,如:What do you expect to achieve during your study if you are enrolled into this university? 回答这一类的问题时,不仅仅要回答想学到什么样的知识、成为什么样的人,最好能够简述你会/计划怎样学习(即学习方法)。无论是倾向于学术理论性的还是侧重于实验研究性的,都要把握一个原则:理论联系实际,同时主次分明。

(2)职业生涯规划。职业生涯规划其实就是明确自己未来的职业方向(直接工作:学以致用,实践与理论相结合;如果有需要,读博或者出国深造,进一步提升专业水平和科研知识),虽然考官不常对此提问(基本上也是提问考生对所报考专业的就业前景持何种态度),但是这个话题实际上涉及了一个人对自己的性格、天赋、兴趣、能力以及社会现状进行综合分析的能力,同时也可以看出他对自己未来人生的一种期望、信念和热情,因此考生也可稍做准备,甚至可以将其放在自我介绍中(不建议口语不太理想的考生这样做)。

需要注意的是,职业生涯规划一定要根据自己的实际情况加以定夺,尤其要注意与所报考专业的契合度。

英语口语常问问题(三)

自我介绍。要求简洁、有新意,能够让考官记住你。最重要的是,发音要准,不要太快,以别人听懂为目的。但注意一定要听考官的指示语,听到考官说:Can you introduce yourself briefly/ say something about yourself后再开始。其实现在许多口语考试为了避免考生背诵准备好的自我介绍,都去除了这个部分,而是由一些简单问题来代替,如:

Where are you from? Could you say something about your hometown?

Could you say something about your family?

What do you usually do in your leisure time?

What’s your favorite TV program?

Who is the most important person in your family?

“What would you like to be doing five years after graduation?”(“在毕业以后5年内你想做些什么?”)

Know what you can realistically accomplish. You can find out by talking to others about what they accomplished in their first five years with a particular company after graduation.

“I hope to do my best I can be at my job and because many in this line of work are promoted to be the area managers, I am planning on that also.”

“What is your greatest strength”? (“你最突出的优点是什么?”)
